Grandmas Boy is probably one of the best stoner movies made in the twenty first century.
Grandmas Boy is probably one of the best stoner movies made in the twenty first century. It tells the story of a 35-year old video game tester and pothead Alex, who gets kicked out from his flat by the angry Russian landlord Yuri and is forced to pack all his gear (both smoking and gaming ones) and move back to his granny’s house, where all the fun begins.
The whole movie is packed with epic jokes, numerous video game references and of course lots and lots of cannabis. All the characters are extremely distinctive and you’ll find yourself quoting them in no time. Starting from the landlord Yuri, played by Rob Schneider and up to the magnificent marijuana seller Danko, who even manages to get a lion into his crib. Grandmas Boy is not about a great storyline or emotions. It’s mostly about pot and videogames and if yo happen to like both of these things you will surely enjoy this movie. It was not the most successful one with critics and box office, but became a cult classic and a major DVD hit.
